NYS Mechanic License & QEI Course – 2025 Code Update Seminar

Join us for 2025 Code Update Seminar, designed to review the latest industry standards and provide required continuing education for both NYS Licensed Mechanics and QEI-certified inspectors.

Course Content

This seminar will focus on updates and key information from the following codebooks:

• 2020 Elevator Industry Field Employee Safety Handbook (.1 CEUs)

• ASME A17.1 – 2022 Code Update, Parts 1–3 (.4 CEUs)

• ASME A17.3 – 2023 Code Update (.1 CEUs)

  • Mechanics may leave at this point and complete the remaining CEUs via self-study.

• ASME A17.2 – 2023 Guide Update (1.5 CEUs)

• Introduction to the Inspection Handbook (.05 CEUs)

  Important Notes

• Photo ID is required for all participants.

• QEI Participants: Must attend the full 8 hours.

• NYS Mechanics: May leave at the 6-hour mark, but must complete the 2-hour self-study course in their NAESA portal to receive full credit.
